Friends’ Days
have now become a regular fixture in volleyball clubs across Flanders. The concept is simple yet powerful: members invite their friends to come and play volleyball, allowing children to discover the sport in a fun and accessible way. And the results from last season once again highlight the value of this initiative.

Impressive figures from last season
-107 clubs registered for Friends’ Days
-92 clubs actually took part in at least one session.
-Together, they brought in no fewer than 1,333 new members.

That means an average of 14 new members per participating club, and an average of 8 new members per session.

More than just numbers
These results show that Friends’ Days
truly work. By giving children the chance to experience volleyball together with their friends, it becomes much easier for them to take the step of joining a club later. For the clubs, this means not only a boost in membership but also a strengthening of team spirit and the future of our volleyball community.
